Joe's Art Time is committed to providing creative and therapeutic support following times of crisis. We strongly support and advocate for Stars of HOPE, an organization dedicated to offering compassionate support through therapeutic art following tragedies.
In support of Stars of HOPE's mission, owner and Art Therapist Joe Scarce has helped organize community disaster response efforts for several significant events, including Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers, Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, and the Pulse shooting in Orlando. Through these collaborative efforts, we have helped survivors and communities express their resilience and hope through a community-based art-making process that symbolizes their strength and solidarity.
By integrating art into disaster response, we aim to foster healing from trauma, promote resilience, and support the emotional recovery of individuals and communities affected by tragedy.
